ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The Sub-Saharan Africa Network (SUSAN) of the International Biometrics Society is a network of national biometric groups of Sub-Saharan Africa countries that promotes the advancement of life sciences through the development, application, and dissemination of effective mathematical and statistical methods. This includes applications in agriculture, medical and health research, infectious diseases, environment and ecology, climate, and other applied sciences such as statistical genetics and bioinformatics.
IBS SUSAN 2021 was the 17th biennial conference that started in Kenya in 1990. Recently, the conference has been held in Kampala, Uganda (2015), Lilongwe, Malawi (2017) and Cape Town, South Africa (2019).
The theme of this conference was “Biometrics in the era of Big Data for Health and Food Security.”
